Beren houden van honing en als die zoet is als Ruby Grace, kunnen we ons enthousiasme amper onder stoelen en banken steken. Sinds haar debuutsingle “Lipgloss” hangen we aan de lippen van de twintig jaar jonge Belgische zangeres, want mede dankzij haar intrigerende stem houdt ze ons helemaal in haar ban. In de loop van de komende maanden komt haar debuut-ep uit en ook shows staan al op het programma. De jonge, ambitieuze zangeres heeft nog maar een klein duwtje in de rug nodig tot ze van de grond gaat. Ruby Grace, de toekomstige leading lady van de Belgische popmuziek.

Muzikale glitterpop zou zomaar eens een nieuw genre kunnen zijn binnen al wat al bestaat. Ruby Grace doet wat denken aan Tsar B, maar brengt het allemaal net iets kleurrijker. Met vocals die doen denken aan Amy Winehouse en een zwoele popsong weet ze ons met haar debuut “Lipgloss” van bij de eerste noten te overtuigen. Een talent waar we in 2019 hopelijk meer van te horen zullen krijgen.
